Canvas Update…

Gosh, I’m slacking on the updates and blogging…not my intent.  Lets see, whats been happening…

- All the regular band guys were back Sunday.  I mentioned that we had the best worship band in Savannah and everyone clapped.  I told you so.
- I have been working on some additional fundraising.  We are contacting some other churches in the area that have a passion for church planting.  There are so many things we want to do to transform the city, but most of it takes money.  If you can give, go to our website and give online.
- We had a booth this past Saturday at the Latino Festival down on River Street.  That was a great opportunity for us to get the word out and talk to some people about the church.  We gave away all the water bottles we had left and made countless balloon animals and balloon swords for the kids.
- Our Journey Pastor, Mark Tanner was ordained this past Sunday at First Baptist Powder Springs.  A big thank you to them for doing  that for him and for their encouragement.  Mark and his family sacrificed to move here from ATL like everyone else and he is doing a great job!
- We now have two mission teams coming in July.  That is going to be a BIG and BUSY month for Canvas.
- This week Jared and I are helping deliver lunches to the World Changers Student mission teams that are in Savannah.  I did alot with World Changers when I was in student ministry and I believe in it.  What they do fits right into our mission here.
- Sunday was pretty normal except that we had alot of regulars out.  If you are a Canvasian, you don’t want to miss this Sunday!

Some really cool stuff brewing behind the scenes here.  Please pray that God uses Canvas to do AMAZING things in Savannah.  He is beginning to answer some prayers in ways I did not expect… KEEP PRAYING FOR CANVAS!
